A fictional character from the Gundam franchise. He first appeared in the Zeta Gundam series from 1985.
Henken Bekkener is a war veteran who was an Earth Federation Salamis Class battleship officer during The One Year War.
Years later he became a capable and serious AEUG battleship captain. Henken was the first captain of the AEUG flagship, The Argama and later transfered his command to The Radish.
He harbors some unrequited romantic feelings towards one of his best MS pilots, Emma Sheen. Sadly, the captain dies at the final battle of The Gryps War after the bridge of his ship is attacked by Yazan Gable in his Hambrabi, as Henken is desperately trying to give support fire to Emma's Gundam Mk II.
