hayato kobayashi
A fictional character from the Gundam franchise. He first appeared in the Mobile Suit Gundam series from 1979.
Hayato Kobayashi is the young Japanese pilot of the Guntank and Guncannon mobile suits during The One Year War. He also appears later in Zeta Gundam and Gundam ZZ, where he is now a high ranking Karaba officer.
After the events of the original Gundam, Hayato married Fraw Bow who became pregnant with his child, and adopted orphans Katz Howan, Letz Cofan, and Kikka Kitamoto.
In Gundam ZZ Hayato dies during the First Neo Zeon War while piloting a Dodai Kai in battle against Rakan Dahkaran (who used a Zaku III) at the destroyed city of Dublin while defending refugees from a Colony Drop attack by Neo Zeon.
