hawker hurricane

ホーカーハリケーン

The Hawker Hurricane was a British fighter aircraft built for the Royal Air Force. Serving alongside the contemporary Supermarine Spitfire in World War II, this early monoplane was initially armed with 8 .303 Browning machine guns in its wings. Later Hurricanes were commonly fitted with four 20mm cannons and could also carry a 500lb bomb under each wing (these earned the nickname "Hurribombers"). The Mk.IID version was an anti-tank model used extensively in Africa which sported 2x.303 machine guns loaded with tracers for aiming its 2x40mm anti-tank cannons.

The Sea Hurricane was a carrier-based variant. Some standard models were mounted on merchantmen with catapults and used for convoy protection.
