hand truck
A two-wheeled L-shaped tool for moving heavy loads. A hand truck consists of a vertical frame with handles, a flat platform the load sits upon, and a pair of wheels at the base. The hand truck is slid beneath the load to be moved, then tilted back so that the weight of the load is balanced above the wheels.
Not to be confused with a platform truck, which has four wheels.
