The VP9 (also known as SFP9) is a 9×19mm polymer-framed striker-fired pistol manufactured by Heckler & Koch, introduced in 2014. VP designation stands for Volkspistole (People's Pistol). VP40 (SFP40) is a variant chambered for .40 S&W cartridge.
The weapon can be recognized by its curved frame shape, a small rounded hammer, finger grooves, angular trigger guard and large diagonal serrations on both sides of the slide.
