ガンダムNT-1(アレックス) RX-78NT-1 ガンダムNT-1 ガンダムアレックス
A mobile suit from the Gundam franchise. It first appeared in the Gundam 0080 OVA in the 1980s.
The RX-78NT-1 Gundam "Alex" is a vastly upgraded version of the RX-78-2 Gundam, as the original machine was already showing signs of obsolescence and simply couldn't keep up with the speed of Amuro Ray's Newtype reflexes. It possessed a Chobham Reactive Armor package, hidden 90mm wrist guns, a redesigned beam rifle, and was much faster and possessed greater maneuverability thanks to extra thrusters.
It was piloted in testing by Christina Mackenzie, who successfully repealed a Zeon assault on the colony the test facility was located in, defeating the powerful but weakly armored Kämpfer before being totaled in a brutal brawl with Bernard Wiseman's Zaku II FZ Kai which resulted in his death, neither having figured out that the pilot of the enemy machine was the other.
