green day
Green Day is an American rock band formed in Rodeo, California, in 1987, by the lead singer and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong and the bassist and backing vocalist Mike Dirnt, with the drummer Tré Cool joining in 1990.
They are widely credited with popularizing mainstream interest in punk rock in the United States. Their major-label debut album, "Dookie," released in 1994, was a massive success, selling over 20 million copies in the U.S. and winning a Grammy Award. Some of their other successful albums include "Insomniac," "Nimrod," and the rock opera "American Idiot," which was later adapted into a Broadway show.
