gloster meteor
The Gloster Meteor is the Royal Air Force's first fighter jet and one of the two Allies' jet aircraft to enter service during World War II (the other being the American's P-80 Shooting Star). After the war, the Meteor continued its service in various roles until it was fully retired in early 1990s.
