ginga eiyuu densetsu

Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu (lit. "Legend of the Galactic Heroes", also known as Gin'ei den or LOTGH) is a series of science fiction novels written by Tanaka Yoshiki, detailing the conflict between the Galactic Empire and the Free Planets Alliance.

The series has received multiple adaptations, including an anime that aired from 1988 to 1997, two mangas, and several video games. A new anime adaptation aired in 2018, and a series of films is set to premiere in 2019.
