Frieza is one of the main antagonist of the Dragon Ball franchise, first introduced in Dragon Ball Z as the titular main antagonist of the Frieza Saga.
The Emperor of Universe 7, he was responsible for the genocide of the Saiyans. His goal in the original appearance is to find the Namekian Dragon Balls to grant him the wish for immortality. He first appears in his 1st form, before going through each (2nd form and 3rd), before revealing his final form (which he can charge up to full power). His last appearance in the original manga would see him mechanically enhanced.
Best known for his cold, arrogant, and egotistical altitude, along with his sadistic tendencies towards his enemies or anyone belonging to the race he deemed inferior, both verbally and physically. This later became an archtypical trait of several all-powerful and self-centered villains in various manga and anime. He also has a rivalry with his non-canonical older brother, Cooler.
His clan is known for having multiple forms and named after cold objects. He returns in Dragon Ball Super with new forms, Golden Frieza and Black Frieza, themed after credit card levels, the first featuring prominently across Frieza's appearances in Super.
