Frederick the Great (24 January 1712 – 17 August 1786), also known by his regnal name of Frederick II, was king in/of Prussia and elector of Brandenburg from 1740 to 1786. He is mostly known for his military successes in the Silesian Wars and how he increased Prussia's military influence in Europe.
