A 1995 spin-off of Chungking Express directed by Wong Kar-wai consisting of two storylines: one about an assassin (Leon Lai) and his partner (Michele Reis), and the other about a mute ex-convict (Kaneshiro Takeshi) and a girl recently dumped by her boyfriend (Charlie Yeung).
The final scene where Kaneshiro rides his motorcycle across an empty tunnel as Yeung's character holds onto him is frequently referenced and has become a meme.
Kaneshiro Takeshi stars in both Chungking Express and Fallen Angels as He Zhiwu/Ho Chi Moo.
