exoframe

The base form of any mecha in Obsolete, all of the other mecha in the series are built around this basic frame. Exoframes are created by a mysterious alien race, stand at about 8 feet tall, and are traded to humans in exchange for 1000 kg of limestone.

The name Exoframe is short for Enhanced Xenobiological Organic FRAME.
