energy (pokemon tcg)

A gameplay mechanic in the Pokémon TCG and Pokémon TCG Pocket. Pokemon cannot perform attacks without certain amounts of the right type of energy being equipped to them. They are also used to represent the Pokémon's type.

They are usually depicted as spheres, with the type's symbol emblazoned on them.
