enemy lifebuoy (kancolle)

In Kantai Collection, enemy lifebuoys are one of Escort Water Princess's four kinds of companions, the ones that make part of her belt(?). They also often appear along with Gambier Bay, being the unabyssalized Escort Water Princess. Their unexpected popularity essentially turned them into mascots for the Abyssals and the series in general.

They are essentially Abyssal Lifebuoys, with a toric body, short but thin limbs, protruding horns and an expressive mouth. They come in several colors. Escort Water Princess is featured with white and red varieties, the ones featured in Mizuho's summer art are in her usual chartreuse, and the ones in Gambier Bay's Lawson art also appear in striped varieties.
