A metal lunchbox with a shape similar to a rounded-top home mailbox. This type of lunchbox featured a large rounded top with a handle. The top was affixed to the base by a hinge and inside the top you could store a thermos bottle for drinks. Frequently tied in the past with the imagery of working laborers, such as construction workers, in North America.
