A character from the G.I. Joe toyline, comic books and cartoon series by Hasbro and Marvel comics.

Laird James McCullen Destro XXIV, usually referred to simply as Destro, is the Scottish leader of a weapons manufacturer company and main ordinance supplier for the Cobra Command terrorist organization.

Destro hides his face -which is unknown to many- in a metal mask forged from beryllium steel and has arm guards equipped with mini-rocket launchers and grenades.

He first appeared in number 11 of the original G.I. Joe Marvel comics series and his action figure debuted in 1983.

Destro was voiced by Arthur Burghardt and Maurice LaMarche in the 80s and 90s cartoons and he is portrayed by English actor Christopher Eccleston in the 2009 live-action film G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra .
