This drawing is part of the Horikoshi Kohei's "My Hero Academia" Original Art Exhibition (堀越耕平『僕のヒーローアカデミア』原画展), which ran from the 21st of June 2025 to the 31st of August 2025 at Creative Museum Tokyo.
Part of this exhibition is a collection of illustrations featuring photographs taken by Midoriya Izuku of various characters presumably timestamped after the final season. Photos taken of the artworks started appearing online, and a collage posted on Twitter caused these to go viral. The illustration of Toru in particular caused people to speculate about the relation between Toru and Izuku and inspired artists to make their own versions of it.
