A 2008 light novel by Mikumo Gakuto, with illustrations by G Yuusuke. Also adapted into two manga, by Abeno Chako, serialized in Kadokawa Shoten's Shounen Ace, and Dantalian no Shoka: Dalian Days, by Monaco Sena, serialized in Kadokawa's Comp Ace, and a 2011 anime by GAINAX.
