daiwa major (racehorse)
| Sire: | Sunday Silence |
| Grandsire: | Halo |
| Dam: | Scarlet Bouquet |
| Damsire: | Northern Taste |
Japanese racehorse. A highly successful racer who claimed the Satsuki Sho in his classic year before becoming a miler specialist and secured wins at the G1 Yasuda Kinen, Mile Championship (twice in a row) and the Autumn Tenno Sho before retiring at six years old and becoming a highly successful sire.
Notably, Major is the half-brother of Daiwa Scarlet (theoretically, ¾ brother, as his sire is Scarlet's grandsire), and is often portrayed as an umamusume despite not having made an official debut; the real-life horse's imposing size is often interpreted as a huge, muscular frame, and Major's notable affection for Vodka is constantly represented as a point of contention between the siblings.
They sadly passed away on January 20, 2026, at the age of 25.
