A young person between infancy and puberty. This may be the character's actual age, or they may be aged down by the artist.

Use petite when the character is short and female but displays developed physical attributes.

If the image is sexually explicit or sexually suggestive (i.e. not rating:general), use the loli or shota tags as appropriate, which are mutually exclusive with this tag. If you are not sure whether a post should be tagged child or loli/shota, ask in topic #8650.
