Brunestud of the Crimson Moon, also called Crimson Moon, is the Ultimate One of the Moon. Otherwise known as Type-Moon.
In the Tsukihime series, 'Crimson Moon' denotes a supreme entity. Summoned by Gaia, the planet's will, the Crimson Moon assisted in the formation of a superior race, the True Ancestors, to govern humanity. These True Ancestors are perceived as the planet's 'consciousness'. Additionally, the Crimson Moon is referred to as the King of the Moon and the King of Vampires .
He desperately wished to have a vessel that abides by the standards of the world, and planned to use the True Ancestors in preparation for his extermination.
Altrouge and Arcueid, who have both inherited the Brunestud name, are considered to be those closest to reaching the point of being suitable vessels for his return.
His rank is the 2nd within the Twenty-seven Dead Apostle Ancestors.
