A vast array of traditional Japanese hairstyles (nihongami) worn by unmarried women; all of which share the trait of vertically-tied bow-shaped hair fastened against the scalp.

Sometimes tied with a motoyui (a ribbon similar to a hair tube).

A notable feature of this style was the use of red cloth to tie the hair.
