Blackout poetry, or erasure poetry, is a form of poetry created by taking an existing text and obscuring or erasing parts of it to create a poem or message.

A poem Tweeted on the 16th of January 2026 by Twitter user solisolsoli went viral and inspired artists to use it as an overlay over their art.
