The protagonist of Battle Angel Alita. A powerful female cyborg with missing memories. She is a practitioner of Panzer Kunst, a powerful and long-dead cyborg martial art.
Known as Gally in Japan.
Her name is actually a tribute to the titular character of a soviet sci-fi film from 1924 called Aelita, Queen of Mars .
