2006 fifa world cup

The 2006 FIFA World Cup is the 18th FIFA World Cup, a world championship association football tournament. It was held from 9 June to 9 July 2006 in Germany.

Italy won the tournament, claiming their fourth World Cup title, after defeating France 5-3 in final. That match was also notable for being the final appearance of Zinedine Zidane, after he was sent off for headbutting Marco Materazzi.
