Playable Other officer in the Shin Sangoku Musou series first in Shin Sangoku Musou 4, then consistently from Shin Sangoku Musou 6. Historically, Zuo Ci was a Chinese philosopher and taoist who angered Cao Cao with supposed feats of magic. His magic is embellished further in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and he voices support for Liu Bei.
In the series he often plays a neutral role wanting wants best for the land, though usually finding Cao Cao unfit and Liu Bei hopeful. His Shin Sangoku Musou 8 story is essentially a Shu storyline.
He has a stronger role in Musou Orochi where he's treated among the mystics.
