She is a highly skilled Ensign-ranked Valiancer pilot. Upon entry into the series, she was introduced as Watase Aoba's classmate who was revealed to actually have came from the future and enrolled in the same school as Aoba, to protect him from a potential threat. However, in the year 2088, Hina appeared as Hina Ryazan , a Valiancer pilot serving the Zogilia Republic. She pilots the Valiancer named Fortuna, and its successor, the Karura.
