A long-running children's book series created by a group of authors under the pseudonym Erin Hunter. It focuses on groups of anthropomorphized feral cats that compete for resources and their political conflicts.
It is popular around the world and has been running since 2003, though it is especially popular in China, one of the countries to most quickly receive translations of the books, as well as exclusive merchandise to the region.
The series is divided into several six-book arcs that are largely contained as their own stories within the larger narrative.
