Arcadia of My Youth is a 1982 anime film depicting the origin of Matsumoto Leiji's seminal character Captain Harlock. It is set in the Harlock Saga.
At one time, it was considered to be the central hub of the so-called "Leijiverse" with other works such as Ginga Tetsudou 999 and 1978's Uchuu Kaizoku Captain Harlock television series occurring sometime after. It is directed by Tomoharu Katsumata, with Kazuo Komatsubara as animation director.
