Kantai Collection's personification of the Japanese destroyer Takanami. Character design by Fujikawa, voiced by Kuno Misaki.

She has short green hair in a bob cut with notable long sidelocks, and brown eyes. She wears the standard Yuugumo-class uniform: a purple halterneck pleated dress over a white shirt, blue bowtie, and grey pantyhose with a pair of lace-up boots, with a yellow sports bra underneath her shirt.

Her rigging is the same as the rest of the class: her funnel and foremast to her back with a 25 mm anti-aircraft gun mount, a 12.7 cm twin handgun mount, and two 61 cm quad torpedo tubes on thigh straps.

She has a personality that is lacking in confidence. Her verbal tic is "かも" or "kamo", which usually means "maybe". The homophone "kamo" (written "鴨") can also mean duck, so she is sometimes seen with ducks for this reason. This verbal tic is shared with Akitsushima, who was introduced at the same time.
