A group of characters from the Mario series that first appeared in Super Mario 3D World. They are the rulers of the Sprixie Kingdom and the Sprixies, a race of fairies who play an important role in the story. The Green Sprixie Princess also appears as a playable character in Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash.
The seven princesses are captured by Bowser in glass bottles and each is guarded in one of the first seven worlds. After all seven are rescued, they build a rocket that allows the player to reach World Star. They appear as the damsels in distress rather than Princess Peach, as Koizumi Yoshiaki decided to make her a playable character instead.
The Sprixie Princesses are depicted as small fairies with wings, a crown, white gloves, and a colored dress. They each have a unique hairstyle and hair color to match their dress.
