A character in the Mario franchise.
These turtle-like enemies come with a (typically red) shell that is studded with spikes, making it dangerous for Mario and co. to jump on. Lakitu are known to throw Spiny eggs.
A blue version of its shell is a notable and infamous item in the Mario Kart series.
