Series of beat 'em up video games published by Koei based on Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Known outside of Japan as the Dynasty Warriors series.
Sangoku Musou was localized as Dynasty Warriors, while Shin Sangoku Musou 1 was localized as Dynasty Warriors 2. Due to this the localized titles are one number ahead of the original.
The Musou Orochi series is a crossover with Sengoku Musou characters.

Origins features a single playable character, and 10 "Companions" from past games who can be switched to temporarily during battles. Characters reappearing from past games feature unique designs, some adapted from their Shin Sangoku Musou 8 appearance.

Nuwa and Fu Xi first appeared in Shin Sangoku Musou 2 before being redesigned for Musou Orochi.
NPCs in the PlayStation 3 version of Shin Sangoku Musou Multi Raid, who would later appear in Musou Orochi 2. Replaced with Musou Orochi characters in the Xbox 360 version.
Features its own original characters, as well as four playable guest characters from Musou Orochi
