A Gintama character. One of the heirs to the Shimura clan dojo and the younger brother of Shimura Tae. The series tsukkomi. Most jokes about him center around his glasses being his most memorable trait. Works in the Yorozuya with Sakata Gintoki and Kagura. Knew Obi Hajime in his youth.
Actually loosely based off of the Shinsengumi captain Nagakura Shinpachi, but while he is affiliated with his series' equivalent to them, he is not a member of the organization.
