A character from Genshin Impact. Also known as "Tuonetar", she is the Ruler of Death among the Four Shades of the Heavenly Principles.
Ronova was created by the Heavenly Principles during the period known as "When the Doves Held Branches" to assist in the War of Funerary Flame against the Seven Sovereigns. The Heavenly Principles would emerge victorious, vanquishing the Seven Sovereigns and stealing their elemental authority. In the aftermath of the war, Ronova aided Natlan in establishing their rules and helped Yohualtecuhtin create the Night Kingdom to reconstruct the Ley Lines.
After Xbalanque ascended and became the Pyro Archon, he leveraged the divine throne to borrow Ronova's powers, which allows ordinary humans to become Pyro Archons through the Pilgrimage of the Return of the Sacred Flame. Those who used her power would eventually die as payment for their pact, as seen when Mavuika used it to defeat Gosoythoth and had to offer up her life, but was circumvented due to Capitano offering his life instead. As the Ruler of Death, Ronova governs the laws of death in Teyvat and can freely define its form for any entity. During the Cataclysm, she cursed all full-blooded Khaenri'ahns with immortality.
