An X-Men character with the power to absorb the life force, attributes, memories, and superpowers of anyone through physical touch.
She first appeared in Avengers Annual #10 (1981). She was initially portrayed as a reluctant supervillain, but soon joined the X-Men as a superhero.
In the 2024 Ultimate X-Men comics, which take place in an alternate universe, a character named Futaba appears to be a version of her.
