In English, Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World. A light novel series written by Nagatsuki Tappei with illustrations by Ootsuka Shin'ichirou. An anime adaptation by White Fox aired in Spring 2016 with a season 2 that followed Summer 2020 & Winter 2021.

Follows a boy named Natsuki Subaru as he dies and gets trapped in a fantasy world, only to discover that he can come back from the dead at certain "checkpoints", though they change randomly. What seemingly starts off as a generic 'character ends up in a parallel world' plot changes quickly.
