An American rock band known for their politically charged and socially conscious music. The band was formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1991 and consists of vocalist Zack de la Rocha, guitarist Tom Morello, bassist Tim Commerford, and drummer Brad Wilk.

Rage Against the Machine gained widespread recognition for their fusion of metal, funk, and hip-hop, creating a unique sound that incorporated elements of said genres. Their music often features powerful guitar riffs, energetic rhythms, and politically inspired lyrics delivered with intense vocal delivery by Zack de la Rocha, which contributes to their energetic live performances and impassioned stage presence.

Rage Against the Machine released their self-titled debut album in 1992, which included the hit single "Killing in the Name." Their subsequent albums, "Evil Empire" (1996), "The Battle of Los Angeles" (1999), and "Renegades" (2000), also received critical acclaim and commercial success.
