Prince Adam is the son of King Randor, ruler of planet Eternia. Adam is a seemingly good hearted but careless and worry free prince in the eyes of the Eternian court. Most notably his father and Teela, the captain of the Royal Guard and his personal bodyguard, perceive him as a simple and lazy coward.
This common misperception of Prince Adam is because whenever trouble arises on Eternia, Adam makes a timely exit so that he can secretly use his Sword of Power to transform into He-Man, the most powerful man in the universe, to defeat whatever enemy is threatening the Eternian throne or Castle Grayskull.Adam's mother is Queen Marlena and his twin sister is Princess Adora, the real identity of She-Ra.
