Piano was a character designed by Ariga Hitoshi for the manga series Mega Man Megamix. She was meant to be a counterpart to Roll whose job was to control and watch over Bass. She has no weapons or combat ability of her own, instead having a large number of gadgets to control. She was designed to speak in a monotone, robotic voice: polite, but flat and devoid of emotion. Her purpose was to provide exposition to both the reader and the characters in the manga.
She was scrapped because Ariga felt that she would draw attention away from the stories, and there were many characters from the games that he wanted to give a deep characterization.
