His on-screen protégé, Seth Rollins also used this move from 2015-2018 as a finishing move. It became one of his signature moves from 2018 onwards. Ring of Honor and All Elite Wrestling alumni, and current WWE wrestler CM Punk uses a top rope variation which he calls as the Pepsi Plunge.
A lifting version also exists, which has its own variations (such as sitout, kneeling, spinning, or a combination of any of them) as well. These variants are used by All Elite Wrestling wrestler Christopher Daniels (as the Angel's Wings), former wrestler Awesome Kong (as the Implant Buster), and WWE wrestler Tommaso Ciampa (as the Fairy Tale Ending).
