Murder, She Wrote is a popular murder mystery tv series by Peter S. Fischer that ran on CBS for 12 seasons from 1984 to 1996.
The series follows Jessica Fletcher, played by Angela Lansbury, a mystery writer and amateur detective who lives in the fictional town of Cabot Cove, Maine. Every episode features Fletcher getting involved in a murder mystery where she tries to figure who murdered the victims and the killers motives. While the series usually takes place in Cabot Cove, other episodes involved Fletcher visiting the rest of the United States and abroad.
Because of the frequent murders happening to Fletcher, fans tend to joke that she was the true mastermind of the killings all along.
