Her rigging is the standard Cleveland-class battle rig, with two 15.2 cm triple mounts on one side and two 12.7 twin mounts on the other, with two Oerlikon 20mm guns on the side below the 15.2 cm mounts.
She is often depicted with three particular sister ships: Cleveland, Columbia, and Denver. They are called in-game the "Solomon Knights" and were known as Cruiser Division 12 (CruDiv12) in real life. Montpelier is the first in the class, as she was historically the CruDiv's flagship.
