Monster Hunter: Stories is a Spin-Off game of the popular Monster Hunter (Series) developed by Capcom, made for the Nintendo 3DS in 2016 (Japan) and 2017 (worldwide) and later ported to iOS (os) and Android (Os) in 2017 (Japan) and 2018 (worldwide).
Unlike the previous games which focus on Hunters, Stories focuses on a tribe of people called Riders who can ride and befriend the monsters of the Monster Hunter series. The game follows the chosen player character: Ryuuto (Lute in the English version) or Sophie (Sophia in the English version), who must venture out of their home village of Hakum with their friends to discover the origins of a mysterious disease called the Black Blight, which is causing monsters to become wild and violent while befriending new monsters along the way.
