The dress, popularized by online clothing retailer Modakawa, is listed on their site as the Sexy Halter Hollow Out Backless Chain Fishtail Lingerie Dress. It is a revealing dress featuring a halterneck held with o-rings and an abundance of straps with a hip vent on each side at the waist. A separate gold chain adorns it from top to bottom.
Many artists began drawing characters wearing the dress, simply referring to it as "the dress."
