The main female protagonist of Doraemon. A prim and proper girl who is admired by her classmates, including main character, Nobi Nobita, who has a crush on her. Nobita frequently uses future technology borrowed from his friend Doraemon to either trying to impress her or to peep on her changing or otherwise nude.
A running gag with Shizuka is that whenever she attempts to take a bath or shower, no matter where, when, or how, Nobita will invariably be involved in some way. For example, if she is at home, Nobita will use Doraemon's "Anywhere Door" to walk in on her. Nobita walking in on her in the bath is another common plot, especially if he is using some form of new gadget.
This has become a plot point throughout the series' multi-decade run; in at least one instance she needed to find Nobita (who was lost), to do so she went skinny dipping -- within minutes, Nobita ended up nearby by coincidence.
