Meowy was taken in by Power, who originally intended to fatten her up before eating her. Power eventually became attached to her and they stayed together for a long time until Meowy was captured by the Bat Devil, who promised that if a human were brought to him, he would return the cat to her. However, the Bat Devil would go back on his word and proceed to eat Meowy and then Power later on. Denji would then kill the Bat Devil and rescue both of them.
