She was initially a minor character, debuting in the final episode of the Pokémon the Series: Diamond & Pearl, and making several small appearances in the following two series. In Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon, she gains a more significant role, becoming a rival figure for Jessie, and heading a special Team Rocket unit named the Matori Matrix.
