    マッチレス(アズールレーン) マッチレス 无敌

Azur Lane's personification of the Royal Navy M-class destroyer HMS Matchless (G52).
Character designed by Alisa (kuro no sakura), voiced by Hanamori Yumiri.

    Appearance

She is portrayed with short purple hair, purple eyes, and medium breasts.

Her default outfit consists of a black beret, sleeveless double-breasted white shirt, pink ascot, pink skirt with a black inner layer, white kneehighs, and high-heeled rudder footwear. Her rigging consists of a funnel rig worn like a backpack containing her real-life QF 120 mm twin Mk11 gun mount and 533 mm quad torpedo tubes.

    History

In real life, Matchless was the fourth of the M-class destroyers built and commissioned. She initially saw service with the Malta Convoys, including the famed Operation Pedestal where they successfully averted the fall of the besieged island.

Later, she served with the Arctic Convoys, including the battle of the North Cape where Scharnhorst was sunk. In August 1944, she was briefly paid off into reserve but reactivated later that same month for Mediterranean duties, where she served for the rest of the war. She was sold to Turkey in 1957 and renamed TCG Kiliç (Kilich) Ali Pasha (D350), serving with them until 1971.
